The event was open for Office Assistants / Attenders from any School or College, economically poor, Senior citizens and anybody who had interest in computer literacy. The program was aimed at providing basic computer education. The two-day hand-on workshop was designed to impart skills on computer fundamentals, MS-Word, MS-Excel, Computer Hardware and Networks.
Mr. Santosh Katti, Asst. Prof. and Mr. Sreenivas P. Asst. Prof., provided the necessary training to the candidates. The third semester students of MCA, Mr. Kiran Baradur, Mr. Ashrafali Nadaf and Mr. Sharath H. G., volunteered to support the participants during the training. The participants had come from various backgrounds in the age group 16 to 70. The two days witnessed SSLC students, Engineering students, post-graduate students, office bearers, attenders, retired Manager, senior citizen, house-keeping staff, lab assistants and library staff. Thirty participants utilised the program which was offered free of cost along with snacks and lunch. They were awarded with Participation Certificates as encouragement for their dedicated involvement.
